The Energy Saving Trust are a non-profit making organisation who provide free impartial advice aimed at helping households and businesses save money and fight climate change by reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
With offices in main cities across the UK, they wanted to establish an office in Cardiff as their main presence in Wales - initially a shell building with raised floor, no power and minimal lighting.
Sub-contracted to third party fit-out contractors, S. Jones Electrical supplied and installed under floor power tracks and electrical floor boxes, installed additional new lighting and PIR 'presence sensing' sensors to existing lighting, and a card access door entry system.

Repair, updating and additions to existing wiring, light fittings and loft lighting system. The last electrical update was in the late 1990's. Additionally, the installation of exterior cabling and strategically placed all weather power points around the garden to enable the householder to use feature lighting to highlight key areas. Provision of power and light to a summer house.
"Ordinarily when inviting a contractor to carry out work in your home, there is an element of anxiety: can they be trusted? Will they do a 'proper' job? Will they overcharge me? Thankfully, Steve Jones and his team came highly recommended, so when it came to bringing our house into this century with a major upgrade of our electrical fittings, and a garden illumination plan, they were the natural choice. I found them to be a very pleasant, family run business, with traditional values. Reasonably priced, they were quick and flexible (without compromising on safety) and good natured when I changed my mind on a couple of things during the project (!). They turned up on the day we had agreed, insisted on vacuuming after themselves and followed up promptly with a certificate for the work they had done. Highly recommended!"

St David's Church, Neath
The lighting system in St David's Church has been replaced and upgraded thanks to a £50,000 grant through the Landfill Communities Fund of Waste Recycling Group (WRG) administered by the Environmental Body WREN. The electrical installation was carried out by S. Jones & Sons Electrical Contractors.
The new computer controlled lighting system, which includes twelve 1m wide suspended bronze pendants, can create a range of theatre style effects for use during plays, concerts and other events.
